Board Members

David Carver

David Carver co-founded Search Fund Partners. He is on the boards of ClaimTrak, DataFusion, FastSpring, Great Bay Software, PlanetDDS Software, Raptor Technologies, and StaffOne.

David has spent thirty years as an executive in software, technology and related services, and has extensive experience in all phases of business, including M&A, fund-raising, strategy and operations. He was CEO of HiFive Networks, CEO of Hipbone Networks, EVP and GM at Network Associates; COO of Network General, an EIR at Institutional Venture Partners; and an executive in the software and services organizations of the Hewlett-Packard Company. Dave has an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Arkansas.

Sumit Garg

Sumit is passionate about helping high potential software companies achieve market growth, build operational scale and gather world class teams. He is a Managing Partner at SG Equity Partners, a software focused investment firm. Most recently, Sumit served as President at Cleo, an enterprise integration software company. During his tenure, Sumit co-led rapid revenue scale acceleration, subscription conversion, and transformation of Cleo from a mid-market focused managed file transfer company to a large enterprise-focused big data integration company. Sumit’s prior experiences include executive leadership at SumTotal Systems; strategic finance including investment banking at GCA Savvian, and venture capital investments at Visa Ventures; and technical roles including Pre-Sales, Product Management and Software Engineering at Alvarion, Aperto Networks and Hughes Software Systems. Sumit received his MBA from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science & Engineering from IIT-BHU, where he was captain of the volleyball team, and member of the track team.

Piyush Pandey

Piyush Pandey is a technology executive with 18 years of global experience in strategy, sales, mergers & acquisitions, and operations with software companies. He has helped build private software companies by identifying new business development opportunities, realigning go-to market strategy, streamlining operations, developing pricing strategies, and financial planning. Over the last 10 years, he has worked with enterprise software companies including Oracle, Epicor, Concur, Citrix and Microsoft on various transactions. He has held various leadership positions at Procera, Deutsche Bank, Stifel, Wipro Technologies and a wireless startup. Piyush holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Bachelor of Engineering from University of Delhi.

Doug Tudor

Doug is a private investor with expertise in investing, operating and scaling high-growth businesses. He is Managing Partner of Ravenscourt Partners, an investment firm focused on teaming with entrepreneurs to build leading middle market companies. Doug has extensive experience in high growth scaling, sales and marketing strategy and tactics, pricing, corporate strategy and acquisitions. He currently serves on the boards of eCompliance (safety SaaS), RIA in a Box (compliance SaaS and services), Colovore (data center), Prialto (outsourced sales administration) and Education Services Group (customer life cycle revenue management). Doug received a Masters of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Brown University.

Brandon Cope

Brandon Cope is an investor in small, profitable and growing businesses with a focus on B2B Services, Healthcare Services, and Software / SaaS. He is currently an Adviser to Peterson Partners, a lower-middle-market private equity firm, and previously served as a Partner at Peterson Partners and Peterson Ventures. Prior to Peterson Partners, he was an Engagement Manager for McKinsey and Company. Brandon received an MBA from The Kellogg School of Management and M.S. and B.S. degrees in Accounting from Brigham Young University.
